Proud moments....

Kayston had his first basketball game of the season last Saturday and before we left I asked him if he was excited. He said he was but he was more nervous. I asked him why and he said because he's not very good and that he's never even made a basket. This is true! Last season he never made a basket and when he played soccer for 2 seasons he never scored a goal! I am not a competitive person so of course I wasn't upset or bothered that he didn't score a goal! After all, he is my child! I am not a very coordinated person and in the past haven't been the best at sports or even dance.
He is so tall and when he runs he is all over the place! I love it and as long as he is having fun that is all that matters to me! However, I did start to notice that it was starting to bother him that he wasn't ever scoring any points for his teams!
After he told me that last Saturday I just told him to not worry and that he will make a basket soon!
Well, not even half way in to the game, he was passed the ball. Instead of hurrying to try and get rid of it he threw it and ACTUALLY MADE A BASKET!!! I'm pretty sure I jumped clear out of my seat I was SO excited for him! And yes, I even teared up a little! We couldn't believe it, especially since he only had one practice before their game!
This must have given him a huge boost of confidence because a little later he shot again and made another basket! WHAT?! 2 baskets in one game?! We were ecstatic and so was he! He couldn't stop smiling and the rest of the day he kept talking about it asking stuff like "which basket do you think was harder for me to get?" And, "do you think I made more baskets than so and so?" I loved it! We are so proud of Kayston and he is turning into such a good kid!
The other day I had to meet with one of his teachers and principle and they had nothing but good to say about him. I can't tell you how many times I've left these meeting with tears in my eyes only hearing the negative. This time I also left with tears but instead they were tears of JOY! So so proud!!!

The other day the girls wanted to have a tea party with "real food"! After they got everything set up just right I heard Brylee say as I was putting the snacks away that before they ate that they needed to say a prayer. I hurried back and snuck this picture...
Meegies said the cutest prayer blessing their food and their animals and that they could have a fun tea party! Moments like these make me realize that I am indeed doing SOMETHING right!

Kenley turns 3....

WOW!! I can't believe my BABY is 3!!! Even though she acts like she's 5, I still think of her as the baby!
This little girl is so fun and has SO much personality! We are constantly laughing at all the silly things she does!
Her Birthday was on a Sunday so we decided to just have family over. Well, Meegies good friend/future husband Kai stopped by for a few minutes to give her a present! =)
Having a birthday this close to Christmas stinks!! We hurried and took down Christmas and got all set up for her Birthday!
I wanted to take some pictures of her just being a 3 year old but all she wanted to do was feed her baby! She is such a good little mommy!
The next three pictures are of her being a pirate!
The only way she would put down the baby so I could take some pictures of just her is if I took some of her baby! Haha! She was even telling her baby to "say cheese!"
She kept her promise and let me take one shot without the baby!
Such a goofball!
The cake....

Our ward did a service auction for relief society that was so much fun! I saved all my points so I could bid on cake made by a lady in our ward! Luckily for me they waited until the end to auction it off and I GOT IT!!! We always just buy a cake from Costco or something lame like that so I was super excited to have her make a cute cake for Kenley's birthday! I NEVER would have imagined it to be this cute though! I was dying! We almost didn't eat it cause how do you cut into something this cute? I may or may not have taken more pictures of the cake than I did of the birthday girl! ;)
(don't worry, I won't post them all)
 I LOVE this picture!

She was so excited she just dug right in! No fork needed I guess!
Time for presents! Apparently we should have had cake after presents! Oh well, just don't mind her cake covered shirt!
She loved all of her presents so much! After riding her bike around the kitchen for a while, she played with her new princess castle for the rest of the night! Girls are so fun aren't they?
She had a great Birthday and is excited to be 3!  She asked me the next day if she was 3 and when I told her yes she said..."I can't believe it!"
Turning 3 at the end of the year also means that she is now a sunbeam!!! How can she be a sunbeam when she just barely started going to nursery on her own! (seriously, she went like 5 times)
I was a little worried that she wouldn't go but even though she was a little nervous at first she went and stayed the whole time! YAY! She's even excited to go back!!

We just love this crazy little girl so much and I can't imagine our lives without her!

2 girls and some makeup...

Brylee got some makeup for Christmas and she couldn't wait to use it! We had nothing too exciting going on that day so when she asked if she could put makeup on her and Meegies I said what the heck! Little did I know what she really meant by "putting on some makeup"!

Ummmmm yeah!
Love these gorgeous girls of mine!!!
