Kayston's Birthday Weekend...

Kayston's birthday was on a Sunday this year so we decided to just make a weekend out of it. Friday, my friend Kim took Brylee over to her house to play for a while so we decided to take advantage and take Kayston out for a fun night. He chose to eat pizza at Pier 49 and then we headed over to Smart Cookie for some cookies and ice cream.
Saturday, we dropped Kenley off at my parents house and took the older kids to a movie. We finally got to see "Chipwrecked". The kids LOVED it!!
Saturday night, we let Kayston choose where he wanted to go for dinner. He of course chose Olive Garden his all time fave! Our waiter was awesome and brought him out a special treat and had some of his waiter friends join him and they sang "Happy Birthday" to him! He usually opts out for this but not this year. He loved every second of it!
Sunday, his actual Birthday, he got to go to Church with just mommy (since the girls were still a little sick) and he got to sit by his best buddy, Jaxon. He made sure to tell EVERYONE that it was his Birthday. When we got home, we found that daddy had made a delicious steak dinner and it was all set out ready to eat!
After dinner, we had some friends and family come over for some YUMMY Costco birthday cake and presents. We were so happy that he chose an actual cake this year instead of an apple pie like last year!!! Ha ha!
Monday, Grandma and Grandpa Robertson came all the way down from Idaho so we had them over, along with Jakob and Uncle Bryan, for a spaghetti dinner and more cake!!!!!  (I am lame and didn't take any pictures with them or at our movie!)
Kayston had such a fun Birthday weekend. He has been SO excited to turn 8 so he could get baptized and be a scout!!!!
I just can't believe my first baby is 8!! It feels like just yesterday I was cleaning up his throw up for the 5th time in one day! =)
These past 8 years have been some of the craziest years of our lives. We have learned SO much from being Kayston's parents! I say it all the time that he has taught us way more than we have taught him. Even though the past 8 years has been some of the most challenging, I wouldn't change it for a second! We love this crazy, hyper, silly, sweet, funny, sensitive, mischievous boy of ours! We are so proud of him and we can't wait to see what kind of young man he turns in to!

 Dinner at Olive Garden

I had to throw in ths pic...Kenley absolutely adores Kayston and she was giving him some Birthday love!

My mom knows Kayston all too well so when she saw this MORPH suit she just had to get it for him!! And boy does he love it!
In a few short weeks, Kayston will get to do something he's been waiting to do for a long time!! He'll be getting BAPTIZED!!!!! Yay!

CAUTION: if you happen to be at the baptism I must warn you that the mother of the baptizee, (yes, I know that's not even a word but I don't care!) will be a HOT MESS! I get emotional just thinking about it!  MY. BABY. IS. GETTING. BAPTIZED!!!!!!

Turning 32 and Disneyland!!!

I was lucky enough to be able to spend my Birthday at the "Happiest Place on Earth"...AGAIN!
My hubby tried to surprise me but of course I found out! He would have had to tell me anyways since he would have had NO idea what to pack for everyone!
He invited his mom and Jakob to come along and then our friends Kim and Mike came with their daughter, Brylee. (Yep, same name!) We were surprised anyone could come since our trip was so last minute but we were SO happy they were able to come! Especially since this was Kim and "other" Brylee's first time to Disneyland!
We had driven to Vegas Saturday night and stayed and then woke up on Sunday (my b-day) to drive the rest of the way. The drive wasn't my favorite since we had a little munchkin with us that just happens to HATE being in the car! So, my birthday didn't start out the greatest but it ended perfect!! We headed over to Disneyland not expecting to do many rides cause it's so busy on the weekends but we were able to get a few in and then enjoy the best firework show ever! If you've never seen Disneylands fireworks up close, it is a MUST! The only way to describe it is magical! I seriously get tears of joy watching it and watching the expressions on my kids' faces! It's the best!
The rest of the week was full of rides, shows, princesses, treats, and LOTS of walking! We had a few dramatic episodes but overall it was GREAT!!
Friday was supposed to be another busy day at the park so we decided to hit the beach in the morning for a while and then we headed over to Disneyland for a few more rides and the amazing "World of Color" show! Another must! Pretty much any show Disneyland puts on will not disappoint! And if it does, well, there's something wrong with you! =)

Kenley was obsessed with the ducks!!
Yep! That's my family! On the scariest ride EVER! I can't believe they got me on this thing!
I love this picture!! It explains so much!
Meaguls loved the rides!!

In line for the Tower of Terror!!
If they only new what they were in for!

The beach...

My hubby might not have been able to surprise me with a trip but he was able to surprise me with this...I have wanted one of these so bad since our computer is a piece of crap and our other laptop is old and so slow! Now, blogging is so much faster and it doesn't take me 3 hours to do one post! YAY!
I'm not sure what I did to deserve this guy of mine and sometimes I think I don't deserve him. But, if I'm what he wants...I won't complain one bit!!
Thanks babe for making not only my Birthday great but for making my life great! I couldn't ask for a better husband or father for my kids! The kids and I totally scored with getting you!

I saw this on a friends blog and thought it would be fun! So here are 32 things you may, or may not know about me!

1. I love reality smut shows such as Teen Mom and The Real World!
2. I'm pretty much obsessed with my hubby! If I could, I would spend every second with him!
3. If I don't have some kind of treat in the house I feel stressed out!
4. One of the things I want the most is for my kids to get a long with each other and be friends!
5. A clean house makes me a happier person!
6. I get overwhelmed way too easy!
7. If you come to my house during the day there's a 99% chance I'll be in my PJ's!
8. I wish I could be addicted to running!
9. Whenever I see an ambulance or hear sirens I get a little sad that I didn't stick with being an EMT.
10. If I could change one thing about my body it would be my knees!
11. I get bitter about the fact that I have to wear makeup and do my hair if I want to look half decent!! It's not fair that a guy can get ready in 5 minutes!
12. I love having "girls night out"!!
13. I love having something to look forward to.
14. I hate confrontation but if you're mean to my kids you better watch out!!
15. I'm super paranoid about pretty much everything! I often worry about me dying and not being able to see my kids grow up or having one of my kids or my hubby die.
16. Before I had kids I was a daredevil and would try anything. Now, I don't dare to even go snowboarding in fear that I'll get hurt and won't be able to take care of my kids.
17. I don't stay with the trends. I find what I like and I stick with that!!
18. I am a cheapskate! I usually won't buy something unless it's on sale!
19. I love shopping but I HATE shopping for shoes!
20. I usually only eat breakfast on Sundays or when I'm preggers.
21. Even though it's rare, I love having a best girlfriend. Someone I can call everyday just to chat, someone who will come over and just hang with me, someone I can call to make a late run to target with, someone who I can ask advice on and know that they would tell me the truth even if it hurts, someone who I can cry with, someone who I could see every day and they don't get sick of me!! You know, kind of like how Oprah and Gayle are! =)
22. Sometimes I think we should move out of Utah before the "BIG ONE" hits. I also think people are crazy to move here cause "don't they know we're expecting the "BIG ONE" any day?!
23. I still have a HUGE fear of public speaking. Since Preston and I have been married I've never spoken in Church or even given a prayer in Sacrament Meeting.
24. Having patience is my of the things I struggle with the most!
25. Sometimes I think Preston would make a better homemaker than I do.
26. I still wish I had a sister!
27. My Momma is my very best friend (besides my hubby) and if I don't talk to her at least twice a day I feel like something is off!
28. I still listen to the same kind of music as I did when I was a teenager. Sometimes I wonder if I'll be 80 cleaning the house listening to Blink 182 or some hip hop song!
29. I hate busy/crowded places. Like Costco on a Saturday or Seven Peaks on the weekend! I start feeling so irritated and overwhelmed and I want to leave.
30. I consider myself to be one of the funniest people I know! =)
31. I secretly wish I was polynesian!
32. Every time I see a dolphin in real life, I cry because I love them so much!

Phew! That was harder than I thought it would be!!
