2 years old...

2 years ago today, we welcomed this sweet little girl into our family!!! She gave us quite a scare for the first few months of her life but you would never know today, all the crap she had to go through when she was just a tiny baby!
She is so much fun and is constantly entertaining us with her singing, dancing, and silly personality. Currently, her favorite song to sing and dance to is "Gangam Style"!
I often catch myself just staring at her in aw that she is mine! I can't imagine our life without her!
She is so sweet and so dang smart. She talks in full sentences, can sing lots of songs, and can even count to elevelen! (that's how she says it!)
We just love this little girl to pieces and we are so thankful she is in our family!
She had her 2 year appointment yesterday and here are her stats!!
Weight: 28.2=70%
Height: 37.5=off the charts
Head: 48.6 cm =77%
We have ourselves one tall and skinny girl!!
Oh, and she didn't even cry when she got her shots. After she was done she just looked at me and said.."sucker now?"  Then all day she wanted to pull down her pants so she could show everyone her pink band aid!! Seriously, she is the cutest!!

Some of the things Kenley does and likes at age 2...
favorite food is hotdogs
loves to play dress up
bites her nails
still in her crib and hasn't figured out how to climb out yet (knock on wood)
still takes 1 to 2 naps a day
still loves to eat random things...dirt, toothpaste, card bored, rocks, wood chips etc.
walks a little pigeon toed
climbs everything
favorite color is pink
loves Minnie Mouse, Tinker Bell and Princesses
She loves Kayston to death but still has a hard time getting along with Brylee
still hates the car
wants to do everything her brother and sister do

Love you Meegies!!! Never change the way you are!!!

Christmas Eve....

We woke up on Christmas Eve morning to SNOW!!! We haven't had a white Christmas in I don't know how long so we were pretty excited! The kids were out playing in it before we even had breakfast!!
Kayston worked on this snowman for a good hour and a half. He wanted to build one all by himself!
It probably took him a little longer than it should have since Kenley kept pushing off the head and middle part!!
He was so patient with her and just started again!
And of course she has to always be eating something!
It wasn't long until us girls got cold and headed in for some yummy hot chocolate!
Kayston stayed outside for a bit longer and was finally able to finish his snowman!
Later that night, my parents came over for a turkey dinner that my awesome hubby made!!
He even made my favorite 12 layer jello!!! Isn't it pretty?
My mom and dad were watching baby Declan so we got in some good baby snuggling time! Meegies LOVED him and didn't want anyone else to hold him!
After dinner the kids got to open their Christmas eve presents from Gramma and Grampa. Jammies of course and they each got to open a toy. Kayston got a snow globe that you build yourself, Bry got a princess magnet collection and Kenley got the game elefun.
We set out cookies for Santa and apples and reindeer food for the reindeer.
We also watched a Christmas movie and talked about Jesus' birth!
After the kids went to bed it was time to get to work!
I have to say, this Christmas eve was definitely at the top of my list for being one of the best! Not sure if it was the snow or the kids or what but it sure was magical!

Surprise!!!

The other day we got a great surprise!! We got a package from a very special person, Takahito!
He sent our entire family, including my mom and dad, Christmas presents.
Since it wasn't Christmas yet, we let the kids open one of the gifts to them. They were SO excited! Takahito always gets them the best gifts. There was a little puzzle, a golf set, 3 notebooks, and a ball game. They played with everything all night!!
We miss Takahito and the kids talk about him constantly. Kayston wants to save all his money so he can go visit him in Japan!! We have definitely mad a forever friend!

 ありがとうございます Takahito!!!

Ernie...Our "Elf on the Shelf'!

Brylee has been extra naughty this year so I decided to give the "Elf on the Shelf" a try. I ordered it mid November and wanted to start using it ASAP in hope that it would help with Bry's attitude problem.
I told the kids that I called Santa to tell him that Brylee was having a hard time being nice so he told me that he would send one of his helpers to keep a close eye on them. The kids kept asking when he was going to get here. One day after a fun day out, we came home and on our fireplace there was a present with a letter from Santa!! The kids were SO excited and couldn't figure out how the present got in our house!!
After opening it up, we read the story and the kids found a temporary spot for Ernie. (that is what we named him)
Every night Ernie flies back to the North Pole to tell Santa if the kids were good or bad and then flies back home and finds a new spot for the day!! The kids can't wait to wake up and see where Ernie will be next!!
Here are a few of our favorite places he's been!!

Hanging from the ceiling fan...
Making a mess with the toilet paper...
 Rock climbing on the fireplace...
 Hiding in mommy's bowl...
We've loved having Ernie in our home. Next year though, I think I'll wait until at least after Thanksgiving to bring him out. It's been a little tricky trying to find a new place for him every night!!
As far as it helping Bry be good...it helped for a few weeks but then she could care less! Ha ha! Little stink!!

Winter....so far!!!

We haven't gotten as much snow as we'd like so we try to take advantage of what we do get!!
The first snowman of the year!
Daddy and Kayston building a snow fort together! Of course I forgot to get a picture of the finished product!
Hoping for many more snow days to come!!
