Our Elf Ernie returned to our house after being away for the year. The kids were SO excited and had been asking when he will come back. We were getting ready for family prayers when we heard a knock. The kids opened the door and this is what we found!
Ernie was a lot more mischievous this year and made quite a few messes for mom and dad to clean up! Here are just a few of our favorites...
He dove in my jar of bows and stuck bows all over the kitchen!
Gone fishin!
He scattered the kids' clean laundry all over the family room and hung their undies from the stocking holders.
He snuck some candy and ate it in my jar.
He took a sharpie to the kids' pictures!
He toilet papered the Christmas tree!
And zip lined across the family room!
He also repelled from the stairs, wrote on the kids' bathroom mirror, played with the baby dolls and took a ride in their train, he hid in the Christmas village and sat on top of the Star on the Christmas Tree. I know a lot of people think the elf is stupid but to see my kids' excitement every morning when they find him is priceless! I also appreciate the fact that if they're misbehaving all I have to do is remind them that Ernie is watching and they shape right up! Now I'm just trying to think what I can use for the rest of the year to get them to behave! =)
