So this is the conversation on the way home from pre-school today....

Me: Kayston, you get to go play at Kat's house tonight while mommy and daddy go to the Temple.
Kayston: Oh, that should be fun.
Me: Are you going to be a good boy at Kat's house and help with the baby?
Kayston: Yep! But are you going to be a good girl and not run around inside the Temple?
Me: LAUGHING!!! I'll sure try!!!

Today was Kayston's Birthday party! When I gave him some ideas on what to do, he decided he wanted to go rock climbing. So that's what we did! He has been so excited for weeks and everyday he would ask me if it was his party day yet. It's sad to say but this was the first "real" party that we had ever given him so I was pretty nervous. I was hoping that all the kids would like to rock climb and if they didn't I didn't want them to get bored. At first there were a few kids that were scared but after watching the other kids and realizing they couldn't fall...most everyone seemed to like it. So we were able to spend an hour rock climbing and then an hour in the party room where we got to have pizza, cake and play games! Over all I thought it turned out pretty good!

Oh, and I can NOT forget to mention our new addition to the family. One of the presents Kayston got was a little aquarium so we decided to put it to use.

I can't believe my little man is turning 5 today. It seems like yesterday when I was pregnant with him and I couldn't wait for him to be here and now he's already 5.
He is such a fun kiddo, he is always wanting to help mommy and is always ready to wrestle with daddy. He loves his baby sister and he is a GREAT big brother.
He absolutely LOVES his Gramma. He is always asking "can we go to Gramma's house today" or "can Gramma come over to our house." I love that they are so close and they have such a special bond.
Kayston is always saying silly things. Like the other day, he looked out the window and said..."great scott, it snowed!!" Or he'll say "well that's mysterious." He can always make us laugh with all his funny gestures.
We love him so much and we are SOOOOO HAPPY he is part of our family!

She also had her 12 month check up today. She weighs 27.3lbs and is 32.5'' in her height putting her OFF the charts.

Brylee can crawl...

Well, it finally happened....Brylee has learned how to crawl. We were beginning to think that she would be immobile forever. Sure, she's a little behind but only because of her "healthiness". Our baby is turning into a toddler, which I am VERY sad about. Kayston thinks it's pretty cool that his sister can finally move around. Except when she comes after his toy.
Time goes by too fast with these kiddos!
