Graduation.......

Today Kayston had his LAST pre-school graduation. It turned out so cute! His teachers did such a great job, not only with the graduation but with Kayston! They have helped him SO much over the past few months and he has grown up a ton. I am so grateful for his teachers and for all the hard work they do.
They put together a little program where the kids got to sing some songs and receive a diploma and a little gift bag. They even made little cap and gowns for all the kids. SO CUTE!!! I could tell Kayston was so proud of himself and it was hard for me to hold back the tears. Preston and I are so proud of him and how far he has come. He is growing up so fast and becoming a little man!

Idaho and Park City....

Our memorial weekend started Friday night. Our good friends, Kim and Mike, invited us up to stay the night in Park City with them...again, at their time share. We always have so much fun with them. We started out with a little shopping at the outlets and then went back to the hotel and had a SUPER yummy BBQ cooked up by Mike. After putting the kiddos to bed we watched movies and talked. We just love these guys!! When we woke up, Preston took Kayston swimming in the FREEZING COLD pool! Kayston didn't care one bit how cold it was, just as long as he got to swim.
After they were all done swimming, we packed up and headed to Idaho. When we got to Idaho we had a little lunch and then all the girls went out for ice cream. This is becoming a little tradition for the girls to go out and I love it!!



Sunday we went to Preston's parents church. My sister-in-law Kesti, and her family came too. She has 4 boys that Kayston absolutely LOVES. Well, between her boys, Kayston, Brylee and Jacob, I think we pretty much ruined any sort of spirit that tried entering the Chapel. First off, this is an "older" ward. Hardly any kids at all. I felt SO bad for the poor speakers. At one point we seriously had to break up a fight between a couple of boys. NOT COOL!! I kept looking at the clock praying for it to be over. So, needless to say, after Sacrament we decided to leave.
After the kids (me and Brylee) had a nap, we headed over to the falls by the Temple to feed the ducks. The kids always love this. Kayston kept saying he wanted to catch the baby ducks and take them home for a pet. =) Later that night we headed back over to Preston's parents for a yummy dinner.

Monday, we all got together at this really fun park for a picnic. The park was super fun. They had these BIG swings I guess there for people with handicaps and these little chair things that you sit in and it spins super fast. It was so funny, Preston would sit in the little chair and he was so big you couldn't even see it so he looked like he was almost levitating. Ha Ha...that's what you get for being so big hubba! LOL
Kayston had such a good time with cousins. We seriously hardly even saw him the whole weekend except for bedtime and every once in a while he would zoom past us while chasing someone.
We had such a fun weekend and we are so grateful for such wonderful family and friends. We love you guys!!!

Okay, so I don't know if this is really appropriate, but I just wanted to give you a little example of how Kayston's prayers are EVERY night.

"Dear Heavenly Father, please bless froggy that he can be safe and please bless him that he won't die and bless him that he will like his cage and bless him that he can be our pet and bless the crickets that they won't die and that they can be happy and please bless froggy to be healthy and please bless we can have a "cavin" (cabin) in the mountains" and then if we're lucky he'll remember to bless the rest of us along with Grandma and Grandpa. I just love this kid.

Wednesday, Kayston's school had a field trip to the Fire station. They were nice and invited me to come along. We had such a good time. I was a little nervous about going because from past experiences, it seems that Kayston likes to "act out" or "show off" when I'm around. He did such a great job and I really feel like he is maturing a little bit. Kayston and all the other kids absolutely loved the Fire Station. They were able to go inside the ambulance and fire truck and even got to pick up the super heavy "jaws of life". They even had his teacher dress up like a fire man. They were able to learn about fire safety and when they were all done, they got their own fire hat and badge. I'm glad I was able to go with them and spend some fun time with Kayston!

Brylee has discovered the bottom drawer. At first she would just crawl over to it and take everything out and play. But now, as you can see, she has realized it can be her own little hang out.

Mother's day was GREAT! It started Saturday when Preston watched the kiddos so I could go to lunch and shopping with my good friend Dara. While I was gone he cleaned the entire house SPOTLESS for me! On Sunday, he let me sleep in and made me my favorite breakfast...crepes. YUM! One of my favorite things about Mother's Day is that I don't have to do anything. No changing diapers, giving baths, cleaning up...nothing!
Later Sunday night we went over to my parents house for a yummy bbq and for some even yummier chocolate cake from Costco!
I just love being a mommy. Now I truly understand what they mean when they say "there is no other job more rewarding than being a mom." (i think that's how it goes.)

This is what Kayston made for me at school. It's a vase full of jelly belly's, the flowers are made from his hand prints and a card with a super cute poem! I LOVED it!!

Playing catch up....

I know, I have been such a slacker blogger lately. For some reason I just haven't been in the right "mood" to blog. So now it's time to catch up.
We haven't been up to too much lately. Brylee still isn't walking but she sure can crawl fast. She did, however, learn how to pull her self up. I consider that to be a pretty big accomplishment considering all that weight she has to pull up. ;) I've been teaching her her body parts. So far, she knows her tummy, tongue, teeth and her "pretty" hair. After learning wear her tongue was, she wouldn't keep it in her mouth.
We have also had another GREAT accomplishment....I was finally able to put Brylee's hair in little piggies. Most of you know how long I have waited for this day. Finally, she can look more like a little girl! =) I know, it's not much hair, but it's getting there!






Kayston had his 5 year appointment the other day. They did a thing called "K-Days" at his doctor. It was pretty lame if you ask me. All they did was let him take a picture with his doc. and give him milk and cookies after. I was thinking it was gonna be this big ordeal. NOPE! Just a normal checkup. He did pretty good. I didn't tell him about it until we had to leave. They told me I needed to bring a urine sample....yeah right! I told Kayston he needed to pee in a cup and of course he wouldn't. After we got to the Doctors office and he saw other kids coming out of the bathroom with their pee, he decided it would be ok. I wasn't sure how he would do with the shots cause he's pretty brave about most stuff. But as soon as those nurses came in, he wasn't going to have it. Luckily Preston got off early and met us there cause it took all 4 of us to hold him down. Poor kid! (sorry about the pic...it's a picture of a polaroid.)

We also got a trampoline...FINALLY! I told Kayston that if he was SUPER good, he could earn one for his Birthday. I had even made him a "trampoline chart." Well, his birthday came and he wasn't able to earn one. I know what you're thinking...we must be the meanest parents EVER!!! Well, if you know Kayston then you why!! Anyway, ever since he switched pre-schools, he has been a totally different kid. So, we decided that since he has been so good that we would finally get him a trampoline. He loves it! I still get nervous since we don't have an enclosure yet but he does really well on it. Mommy and Daddy have fun jumping on it too!Well, that's pretty much it. We can't wait for summer time. We've got a few camping trips planned and LOTS of Seven Peaks trips headed our way.
