Kenley turns 1!!!!!

Holy heck I can't believe my 6 lb 14 oz baby girl is now a 22 lb, gibber jabbering, walking all over the place 1 year old!!! This year has flown by!
Even though her life had kind of a rough start, this little girl has hit all of her milestones right on time and even a little early. The little stinker decided she wanted to walk at 11 months!! Bry didn't walk until she was 16 months and it was fine by me!! Kenley has grown up so fast and it makes me sad!Since Kenley's Birthday happened to be our moving day, we celebrated a few days later at my parents house. Nothing fancy, just some cake, a few presents, and family!!

She wasn't too sure about the cake...so, she tried to hide from it!
She loved her new piggy bank and Violet dog!

Here are some of the things Kenley likes and can do at 1 year old...

*playing patty cake
*chasing her big brother and sister around
*says "all done", "love you", "mama", "dada"
*waves by by
*plays peek a boo
*she loves wearing things on her head... shirts, pants, blankets, but she hates hats!
*she LOVES cheetos and saltine crackers
*she loves to take things out of her mouth and play with it and then eat it again. (drives me crazy!)
*she can show you that she's 1 with her finger
*she has 11 teeth
*starting to throw little tantrums where she falls to the floor and buries her head into the carpet
*she is definitely a Momma's girl right now and cries when I leave the room
*even though she is only 1, she knows all the right ways to torment her big bro and sis
*current nickname is meaguls (don't ask why cause I couldn't tell you)
*still loves to dance
*she makes the cutest ugly face all the time
*still drooling like crazy
*sleeping about 12 hours at night with 2 naps during the day
*favorite thing to say is DOO or DOOSH
I can't even tell you how funny this little girl is! (she must get that from me) She keeps us laughing all day! She has pretty much been sick since October with an annoying cough and runny nose and ear infections but even when she doesn't feel good she is still such a good baby!! We are so thankful to have Kenley in our family!! Life just wouldn't be the same without our silly little girl!
Oh look, you get an ugly face and a 1 all in one picture!! =)

Christmas 2011

So, the last 2 Christmases have been kind of lame. At least for me they have. Last Christmas I was just ready to have Kenley and that's pretty much all I focused on. This Christmas we were building our new house and doing lots of packing instead of doing fun Christmasy stuff. I LOVE the Christmas season and I'm sad that I let other things consume me so I couldn't get into the Christmas spirit!! So, I making a vow RIGHT NOW that next Christmas we are going to do every Chritmasy thing there is to do!!!!
The kids still had a good Christmas and that's all that really matters I guess! Except, they missed out on a lot of fun things that we usually do.
Christmas Eve we did the usual with my parents coming over and letting the kids open their Christmas jammies!! We had a yummy ham dinner thanks to my awesome hubby and watched the nativity movie.
Christmas morning I woke up to the sound of toys being played with. Luckily it was just Kenley's little bike. But, I'm POSITIVE they would have started opening presents if I hadn't heard that and come out.
The older kids in their new jammies! Kenley isn't quite sure what to do at this point!Kayston's favorite present was his skeleton science kit! Bry's was her new snow white doll. She even got her own snow white dress!Kenley's was her new princess bike AND the wrapping paper!
The kids loved all their presents and couldn't wait to head over to Gramma Debby's to show them what they got and of course to open even more presents over there.

After we finished up at my parents house we headed to Idaho to see Preston's family for Christmas!! We always love going to Idaho even if it is just for one night. This trip was extra special because EVERYONE was there!! This doesn't happen too often so we had to get a picture!! We had lots of fun playing games, making ginger bread trains, eating yummy food, and visiting. As soon as we got home there was a lot more packing to do. Needless to say, our Christmas tree was down the day after Christmas. I'm already looking forward to next Christmas so we can actually enjoy it and not have to worry about anything else!!!!!

Christmas with a 1 year old...

This cute girl is the reason why our Christmas tree looked like this.......

If you know me, you'll know that this drove me CRAZY!!! Our tree looked hideous! Not to mention we couldn't put any presents under the tree because she would eat the paper and bows!!! YES... EAT IT!! You gotta love having a 1 year old at Christmas time!!!

Puerto Vallarta...

As most of you know, we try and take a yearly trip to Cancun. Well this year we decided to try something new and go to Puerto Vallarta! I was pretty nervous to go somewhere different since we have been to Cancun so many times and we feel comfortable there. But, after it was all said and done, I'm so glad we went there!! We had a BLAST!!
The whole reason I wanted to go there was because they had a tour that I wanted to do SO bad! And honestly, I would go back just to do this tour again! It was amazing! We started out on a speed boat that took us across the bay to this beautiful jungle! Then we hopped on this huge truck thing that took us up this crazy narrow road to our destination. From there, we rode mules YES, I said mules as in donkey's, up this STEEP sandy mountain side. I'm not gonna lie...there were times I thought I might die! Luckily for me I got the slowest most stubborn donkey of the bunch so we took our sweet time getting to the top! Once we reached the top, we rode a total of 14 zip lines down through the most beautiful jungle I've seen! It was incredible! We also repelled down a couple of waterfalls. (VERY SCARY but so much fun)
This was the BEST tour I have EVER done! I'm ready to go back and do it again! Unfortunately, they don't let you take any pictures because this is their way of making money! And I wasn't about to pay $100 for some pictures of me harnessed up cause let me tell ya...they are NOT flattering at all!! =)
We also took another tour where they take you across the ocean on a HUGE catamaran and you get to watch this awesome mayan show in the most incredible jungle. After the show, we had a romantic candle lit dinner.
The rest of the trip we were able to relax and spend some quality time together. Just the 2 of us! It was one of the best trips we have gone on!

This is on our balcony...so pretty! It rained almost every night!! I loved it! There were even some crazy lightning storms! Coco Loco minus the loco!! =) Our favorite pool! Now this is the life!!!Ha ha! Hubba planking! Me attempting to plank! NOT CUTE! On our way over to zip line. This boat went crazy fast!! All geared up and ready to go on the best zip line tour ever!!
Isn't the gear flattering?? These were our guides/entertainment on the way over to our 2nd tour. They were hilarious! Pulling in to our destination! GORGEOUS!!Cute little girl dancing on some jagged rocks! YIKES!This was the stage that they did the show on! It was AMAZING! Hubba just being Hubba! Our romantical dinner! Headed back after a fun night! This kind of shows you how huge the catamaran was. Its a good thing too cause on our way back the waves were HUGE! Awwww, this makes me want to go back so bad!!! I had such a good time with my love!! I think every married couple needs to take these kinds of vacations together!! It's like honeymooning all over again!!

10 Year Anniversary!

For our 10 year anniversary this year, we celebrated by taking the kids bowling! We knew we had a trip coming up for just the 2 of us so we wanted to do something fun with the family!!
This was Bry jumping for joy every time after her turn!! Unless she got a gutter ball then she would yell out "OH MAN!"Kayston making sure it's lined up perfectly before he could go!Thanks for the most amazing 10 years ever!!!

Some cute pictures of some cute kids...

Can she get any cuter?? I mean really!!

Bry all ready to go to dance!

It's very rare that Kayston will let me take a picture of him. It seems like when ever I get out the camera and try to take his picture, he'll either run away or just give me a grumpy face. Well, on this particular day he must have been a good mood or something cause he was totally loving the camera and I took full advantage!! I love when he gets silly like this!!

Kenley LOVES her big brother and I think it shows in these pictures! Also, Kayston thinks he's pretty big when I let him hold her standing up!!

Man I love these kids of mine!! Even if they do drive me crazy half of the time!!
