Weekend fun...

This was such a fun weekend! It started Friday night with a camp out...in our own backyard! Now, this is my kind of camping!
We had a BBQ, went for a walk, made peach cobbler in the fire, roasted marshmallows, had popsicles, the kids had a grass fight, told scary stories, played games in the tent, and attempted to sleep! We made it until almost 4 am when the wind kept blowing the tent down on us so we finally went in the house!

Kayston helping with the fire wood, yummy peach cobbler, and of course...smores!
We love us some photo shoots!!!
Trying to pass the time while waiting for it to get dark so we can start our camp out.
The kids helping daddy set up the tent. Well, Kayston helped, Brylee just posed!
Ghost stories and games!

And this is what I meant by "attempting" to sleep!
(you will have to pause my music on the side to hear!)

The next day we went to the Lehi foam day! They had big water bouncy slides, lots of booths and even more FOAM!
Kayston LOVED this! Brylee...not so much! She wouldn't even get her feet in! Next year I am definitely getting in and hopefully Brylee won't be such a sissy and join me!

Ha ha! The kids in their goggles! I've decided that goggles make my kids look "special"! Especially Brylee! And this is as far as Brylee got in to the foam! And Like I said...Kayston LOVED it! I was like playing where's waldo only we were looking for the boy with yellow goggles mixed in with tons of kids and bubbles! This picture cracks me up cause I told Kayston to go rinse off and he said he was already clean! I took this picture of him so he could see just how clean he wasn't!
Such a fun weekend!
I just love these silly kids of mine!

Big Girl...

Kenley does not like it when we sit down to eat dinner and she either gets put in her bouncer or in her saucer. So, we decided to bring out the hippo high chair and let her tr it out! She LOVES it! She thinks she is so big and so cool! She loves sitting by her big bro and sis! They like it too except when she tries to grab everything from them. This morning she won and got a hold of Kayston's freshly poured bowl of cereal and dumped it ALL over the floor!

Loving it!
Daddy giving her some rice krispies...she chewed on one for about 10 minutes!
P.S Can you believe she's already 7 months old? I can't!!

P.S.S this little cutie got chosen to do a photo shoot and model some cute leg warmers and clothes. Too bad it's in California and they don't pay for your travel!! Oh well...I don't need her to be in a photo shoot to know that she is the cutest little girl in town!

Ida, Ida, Idaho...

A couple of weeks ago we took a short trip up to Idaho to visit the Robertson Fam! We usually try to go over the 4th since they have the best firework show EVER, but Preston's brother and his wife were coming up later that week from San Francisco so we decided to wait and go up when they were there!
It's always a good time in Idaho! Lots of yummy food, good company, and we only see the kids a few times a day since they're usually off playing or climbing a tree! What more can you ask for.
It seems like we did a lot in the short time we were there.
We arrived Sunday afternoon and headed over to Preston's sister's house for a BBQ and a Birthday party for her little boy, Cameron. The kids LOVE it over at aunt Kesti's house. They have a swing set, trampoline, sand, and a HUGE yard to play in. Pretty much heaven for them. I am reminded, however, that we will NEVER have a sand box....EVER!! =)

The Birthday boy and his cute Pirate cake his awesome mom whipped up! Too cute!Brylee, Jessie, and Jace's body!Brylee and RachelKenner's hanging out enjoying tiny bites of cake!
The next day, we headed over to Tauphus Park to let the kids play and then walked over to "Fun Land" and let the kids ride some rides. Okay, we only let them ride on 1 ride each! It was kind of a rip off!

Aww, how cute is this picture??These little seats are evil. You get one tiny push and there's no stopping you! Kenley just kicked back in the shade!Brylee and her Grandma...or as she calls her...Robertson! Brylee chose the GREEN airplane to ride, Kayston chose the ferris -wheel. SCARY! The Bubbles were a huge hit for just about everyone at the park that day! After that, we headed over to the Green Belt AKA river and falls, to feed some ducks. I actually got pretty traumatized there after seeing about 5 or 6 male ducks pecking the head of a female duck until she was bleeding. They were out for death. My hubby tried to shew them away but they were ruthless! My Mother-in-law and I also tried to save the poor duck but they all went into a large bush and we couldn't get to them. It was SAD!After the traumatization, (yes, I know that's not a word) we went out for a yummy dinner at Famous Daves!

The fam, -Kenley, in front of the river and the Temple
Aww, the 2 love birds, Kayston and Cayden! My sister-in-law thought this was cute! I'm not sure at what age it becomes more weird than cute. For now, we'll say 8! =)
Kayston in front of the Idaho Falls Temple. After stuffing our faces, we made our way over for some more fat at Reeds Dairy for some ice cream! Their ice cream was soooo good! I'll take those extra calories any day!
Brylee had fun with her cousin Jessie running around and throwing grass! Kayston, of course, liked haning from the tree branch! I swear when he grows up his dream house will be a tree house! Not kidding!
Even though Brylee doesn't get to see her Uncle Kenton too much, she saw him and gave him the biggest hug! It was so sweet! The next day was raining so we just hung around Preston's parents house and visited! It was a perfect day for Preston and his mom to make some OH SO GOOD Cinnamon Rolls! I swear she should sell these babies! Best Cinnamon Rolls I've ever tasted!

The magic making of the cinnamon rolls...The girls coloring.... Brylee, Jessie, and RachelI had to take a picture of this cause I think this was the first time he sat down in 2 days!Later that night it cleared up enough to have one last BBQ and an early 3rd Birthday party for our sweet niece, Jessie! She was so cute while opening all her presents! We're excited that we'll be able to see her turn 4 as well since they're moving back to Utah in 2 weeks! I think we're WAY more excited about it than they are!
The Birthday Princess
Blowing out the candles!Grandma Robertson and Jakob helping Jessie with her presentsIt was another fun trip to Idaho! Wish we could go more often! My kids wish they could live there...with or without us! =) Thanks Robertson's for the great time! And thanks Austin and Krystal for letting us bombard you! We loved staying with you guys!

4th of JuLy

This 4th was pretty chill! We started out the day by driving up to Centerville to see my Grandma who hasn't been doing too well lately. My kids LOVE their Gramma Gramma and are always so happy to see her!
On our way home from our visit, we decided to stop at the Gateway . The kids had a blast playing in the fountain and I was able to find some awesome shopping deals!! Kayston didn't last as long as I thought he would! He said it was "too cold"! I guess if I had -2% body fat, I would get cold too! Bry, on the other hand, could have stayed in there all day! She lOvEd it! I couldn't leave out Little Miss! She slept for most of the fun but enjoyed watching them when she woke up!
Later that night, we had a BBQ and set off some pretty intense fireworks at home.

The "unpredictable" flower!
I HAD to document the sibling LOVE that was going on since it doesn't happen that often! Watch out...you might get burned from the huge SnAkE! And of course, the flame spitting sparklers! Like I said, they were pretty intense! Then REALLY later that night, we headed over to our annual firework lookout at Thanksgiving point! They had a pretty good show this year but I have to say, with all the fireworks being legal this year, we pretty much had a show in every direction we looked! It was pretty neat but me and Hubba, being the cheapskates we are, could only see $$$$ being set on fire in the air! Ha ha! I know, we're lame 'os!

For some reason, I didn't take any pictures of the fireworks, but this is Kayston hiding out playing the Ipod until the show starts! This had to be one of my favorite 4th's! Even though we skipped out on the Balloons, my kids were well behaved, we got to spend time with one of my very favorite people, and we had a blast spending time with just our little family!
