Whew! I can't imagine how many posts I would have to do if we had a student for longer than 2 weeks! Haha! What can I say, I want to remember every detail and I also have just a tiny problem with taking way too many pictures!
The second week Kazuki was here we celebrated Pioneer Day. He didn't have to go to school so we decided to brave the crowds and go to seven peaks for the day. Well, it was super crowded and kind of cold so it ended up kind of being a bummer day but I think he still had a pretty good time!
That night we had a BBQ with some of our friends. Another family in our ward also had a student so they came over and I'm so glad they did! I think Kazuki had a much better time with a friend there!
These two disappeared for a little bit! I think they needed some quiet time! HAHA!

The next night was their farewell party. This is something they work on for a long time for the host families to show their thanks! I always get pretty emotional at these things and that night was no different. As soon as they sang their songs the tears started to flow.
Kazuki and Taiki painted some calligraphy. The teacher said that they weren't very good because they don't practice much but we thought theirs looked the best out of everyone's!

When they were getting ready to sing we saw Kazuki standing in front. I wondered what he was doing and then realized he would be conducting the songs. I felt like a proud Momma and got even more emotional!
