A couple of weeks ago I was able to get some free tickets to the opening night of Cowabunga Bay. Kayston has been BEGGING us to go there ever since it opened but it's pretty friggen expensive and from what it looked like, it seemed to more for older kids. Sooo, we thought since it was free that we would try it out. Now, this was in the beginning of May...at night (4-7) so I wasn't exactly sure how warm/cold it was going to be. Lucky for us it was one of the warmer days we've had. However, when you're standing at the top of the slides waiting in line, it's a different story. Needless to say, we only went down a couple of slides cause it was too chilly up there. They heated up the lazy river to 95 degrees though and it felt soooooo nice! We spent most of our time playing in there.
I was right about it being more for the older kids. Kayston braved the biggest slide and did NOT like it. He ended up bonking his head on the way down. They did have some fun things for the younger kids but the slides were all pretty big.

It looks like fun! I love waterparks!
Kind of off the subject, but Bry's teeth look great after being slammed on our basement floor!
My kids are always asking to go there when they see it! Good to know it's for the older kids, but looks like a fun time!
Oh you guys are the best parents in the world!! I can't believe you braved that water park in this butt cold utah weather! What a fun day:) Can't wait to hit the pool when summer FINALLY gets here!xoxoxo
can anyone say PASTY? I have never seen so many florescent white people in one place, and to boot it really was butt cold. Good mommy for the idea, because the kids sure loved it. I just need to work on the tan, oh ya and he weight could come down a little too. I would recommend going when it actually get above 70 degrees.
Looks fun! When we drove past it, Rachel asked if it was Disneyland. Maybe we'll go someday, too.
