Our LONG, HOT but FUN 4th of July

I love the 4th of July. We always look forward to all the parades, fireworks and BBQ's.
This 4th was a busy one. We started our day out by waking up at 4:30 in the morning to go see the hot air balloons. Every year they have about 15 to 20 hot air balloons and you can watch them fill them up and take off. It was pretty fun to see.
My favorite part was when they had one balloon lift off and it had an American Flag hanging from it. They were playing "Proud to be an American" and then they had everybody say The Pledge of Allegiance. When the balloon came back down they had a moment of silence. I always get emotional on those kinds of things.
After the balloons we headed over to the Provo parade. I've never been to this parade before and we've heard that it was really good so we decided to check it out. It was CRAZY busy! Thank heavens for Jess & Feleni, they had seats and parking saved other wise we probably would have just given up and gone home.
The parade was not as good as I was expecting. There were hardly any floats, way to many people and they didn't even throw any candy. We ended up leaving early.
We headed home for a nap before going out to my Uncle Randy's house in Tooele for a BBQ.
It was fun to see family that we haven't seen for a while. We ate some good food and visited while the kids played in the water.
After we left we headed home to go see fireworks. For the past few years we've gone to see the fireworks at Thanksgiving Point. We found the best place to watch them. We're able to get so close it feels like you're right under them. This year wasn't as good as the other's but it was still super fun.
Besides the fact that I was sweating ALL day and couple of tantrums from Kayston, we had a great day.

Cute pictures! I had a lot of fun with my little family. I almost didn't go to the fireworks, but I'm sure glad I did! Kim is a cutie! I think you and her are birth sisters, you're so much alike!

Hi Keri!

It was GREAT to see and catch up with you guys again! I agree with you, the parade was kind of a dud but if it weren't for that, my kids and i would have been stuck indoors all day! :) Anyway, my email address is nimoleauanae@gmail.com so send me your email and i'll add you to my list. Take care and good luck with the move!
