Girls Camp...

This past August, I had the opportunity to go to girls camp as an assistant camp director with our young women. When I first got called, I was super nervous, and then excited, and then nervous, and then excited again. Then our ward split and I wasn't sure if I was even going. I started to feel sad and realized how much I really did want to go. About a month before camp, they decided they needed extra help so they called me back on board. I was even more excited then because my BF Cami had also got called as an assistant.
We were in charge of planning all the meals, buying food and supplies, planning crafts, and ward time. We had a lot on our plates but new we could get it done!
This year was Stake camp so we were at camp for 5 days!!! I was so stressed about being away for that long and even started to think of ways to get out of it!
But, I stuck with it and I'm SO glad I did!!! It was a lot of work but I had such a good time up there with all those girls!
I truly feel like I was meant to go! I know that I was supposed to be there to be an example to the girls but I think they taught me more than I taught them!
Growing up I HATED camp and only went twice. I was worried there would be drama and girls feeling left out just like I did when I went. I was AMAZED with these girls and how loving they were to EVERYONE! I honestly couldn't tell you who was a 3rd year and who was a 1st year. They were all friends and it was awesome! This post could go on and on so I'll just let the pictures do the talking for me! All I can say though is I LOVED camp, I LOVE the girls and I LOVE the other leaders!! I'm SO happy I went and it was 5 days that I will never forget!!!

All of us on the first day!

Canoeing
 Uhh?
Look at all that team work going on!
 Love my Boo!

 Love these 2 crazy girls!

Talent night! So fun!
 Awwww
 Yoga day! Best pic EVER!
A broken arm didn't hold back this cute girl from anything!
Ahhhhh! This trailer was mine and Cami's worst enemy!!!
Yep, Cami and I shared a bed...we even had sheets and made it look nice everyday! Notice my bear mace hanging above me? That was our only protection against the moose and anything else we might have become victims to! That was a lot of pressure weighing on me!
Brooklyn Sage Meadow Willow King breaking all the rules and texting!! GASP!
Kammy from Bolivia! Love this girl!
 Erica, Erica, Erica....
 Rope course
Cami almost to the top and me praying she doesn't fall!
Me, almost to the top! That thing is harder than it looks!
I may or may not have ate it big time on this dang swing!!
Just passing some time trying to hit a beach ball with a rock. It's also harder than it looks!
It really was so beautiful up there!
Our secret ward snuck in and gave us all manicures! Now this is what I call camping!!
Why yes, that is the bishop in line for the rope swing!!
 Flag ceremony!
Our last night the Bishopric came up for testimony meeting and after made us some yummy cobblers!
I love looking back and remembering all the fun times we had. I love knowing that these girls changed for the better at camp. I love knowing that I changed for the better at camp. I can honestly say that I hope I get to do it again!!
