Well, I have to say that we sure are proud of this kid! He has grown up so much over the past year and has become such a good kid! He is such a good helper to me and is even trying his hardest to get a long with his sister!
He's doing great in school and even though he was a little behind in the beginning, he's catching up fast! One of the things that I'm most proud of aren't his grades, but the fact that his teacher has always said that he is very respectful to her and even if she has to tell him to not do something, she usually only has to tell him once. That makes me a very proud Momma!
Kayston is still a very silly kiddo and probably always will be! I mean, does he even have a chance with having Preston as a dad? Probably not! But that's okay with me! I love his silliness (except when we're rushing to get ready for school) and if he turns out to be anything like his dad, well, he'll be one lucky guy! =)
For Kayston's Birthday we decided to check him out early from school (which we never do) and take him and Bry to Trafalga. They love this place and we all have season passes so it's pretty much free! We had such a fun time! They had recently put in a new rock wall since the last time we were there and it was huge! The first time Kayston went up he didn't even dare go to the very top cause it was so high but when we came back to do it again, he saw a GIRL go all the way to the top so he had to!! I'm pretty sure this kid has no fear! We also had fun playing mini golf, laser tag, and some arcade games. After Trafalga, we surprised him by taking him out to his favorite restaurant...Olive Garden! Yep, that's where he wanted to go! He loves that place! After dinner, we met Gramma, Grampa and Kenley back at home to have some Birthday PIE! Yes, PIE! We took him to Costco a while back to have him show us what he wanted for his Birthday cake. Well, at first he said he wanted their strawberry cheesecake which got me and Preston excited since we love cheesecake but when we went the day before to pick it up, he saw the apple pies and changed his mind. I tried my hardest to change his mind since I'm not a fan of apple pie but he said that the apple pie smelled SO good! And since it was his Birthday and not mine...we got him the dang apple pie! It's okay, it ended up saving me from all the extra calories!
Our day ended with having a movie night which is always one of the kids' favorite things to do!
It was such a fun day even though I was a little sad thinking that my baby, my first born, is growing up so fast!!
This was seriously so high! I don't know if I'd even dare do it!
We always love to play air hockey
Even Bry loves it!
Guns are always a must, too!
My kids would play laser tag all day if they could
After mini golf he got pretty hyper!
Yummm!
